Mission Critical: Laying the Groundwork for Understanding and Implementing Critical Pedagogy in the Library Classroom

Have you heard of critical pedagogy but you’re not sure what it is and what it means to your library? Please join us at the OSU Library to explore ways in which you can implement critical pedagogy strategies into your instruction and develop ideas for presentations at this Fall’s OK-ACRL conference, by engaging with colleagues in an active two-part workshop designed to give you basic tools and techniques. No experience necessary!

• 9:30-10am registration and welcome (Parking information: https://parking.okstate.edu/visitor-parking )
• 10am-11:45 critical pedagogy basics and library applications
• 11:45-1:15 lunch on your own (Restaurants: https://www.visitstillwater.org/restaurants/)
• 1:15-3pm in groups, exploring sample lesson plans, generating and sharing your own lesson plan
• 3pm-3:30pm prizes and wrap-up
